5 Signs That It's Time to Clean Your Underfloor Heating System!

Check the Color

If the inner walls of the pipes connected to the manifold appear yellow, green, rust-colored, or even black, it indicates that a significant amount of calcium and magnesium scale, as well as biological slime, has accumulated;

Check the Temperature

The indoor temperature seems to drop year after year; even though the wall-mounted boiler settings haven’t changed, the room never feels warm enough;

Check the Flow Rate

The water flow through the underfloor heating pipes is lower than in previous years, and you can clearly feel the water flowing more slowly when you turn on the tap;

Test the Water Flow

Drain each pipe individually; if water flows very slowly or not at all in some pipes, it is likely that the pipes have narrowed or become clogged;

Check the Time

If the system hasn’t been cleaned for more than three heating seasons—remember, under normal circumstances, it should be cleaned once every 2–3 heating seasons.
